I love the Reformer Pilates classes with the Arc Team. My core strength and flexibility have improved considerably over the past few months. Thanks to Grace for her advice and guidance. Like Stephen, she is supportive and encouraging. Marie at the front desk is always welcoming and helpful. It is a lovely studio in which to work out.
As someone who has had back and joint issues my whole life the reformer pilates classes at ARC Rehabilitation have made such a huge difference in strengthening my core muscles, increasing joint mobility and keeping me pain free. The team are all brilliant at what they do and as they are qualified physical therapists they are all able to provide advice and ensure exercises are being done in a safe way for everyone.
I am thoroughly enjoying Pilates and I recommend it highly. I have noticed a huge improvement in my flexibility, I have less joint pain and feel so much better. Marie, Grace and Stephen couldn’t be more helpful and I certainly am delighted to have found Arc Rehabilitation and Pilates.

Have a question before getting started? Here are answers to some common questions about rehabilitation, appointments and Reformer Pilates at ARC Rehabilitation & Pilates.
Do I need to know exactly what is causing my pain before booking?
No. You do not need to arrive with a diagnosis or know exactly what is causing the problem. Your appointment gives you an opportunity to discuss your symptoms, history, what you have already tried, and what you would like to get back to doing. This information, together with your assessment, helps guide the next steps.
Can I book if I've already tried treatment elsewhere?
Yes. ARC works with people who may have already tried other approaches but are still experiencing persistent or recurring problems. What you have tried previously is useful information and can be discussed as part of your assessment.
What should I wear to my rehabilitation appointment?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily and makes it practical to assess the area you're having difficulty with. If you're unsure about what to wear for your particular appointment, contact ARC before your visit.
Should I bring anything with me to my first appointment?
If you have information that may be relevant to your current problem, you can bring it with you. It is also helpful to think about when the problem started, what makes it better or worse, what you have already tried, and what activities you would like to return to.
Can I start Reformer Pilates if I haven't done Pilates before?
Yes. ARC's Reformer Pilates programme includes different levels, including a Beginner level. Members start with a consultation and assessment so they can be placed at an appropriate level rather than being expected to choose a class themselves.
What if I'm not sure whether rehabilitation or Reformer Pilates is right for me?
You don't need to make that decision on your own. If you're unsure what to book, you can request a call back and a member of the ARC team can help you understand the appropriate next step.
Do I need to be pain-free before starting Reformer Pilates?
Not necessarily. ARC has a Rehabilitation level specifically for people who are currently in pain or returning from injury. Your consultation and assessment are used to determine the appropriate starting level based on your individual situation.
What happens if my needs change as I progress?
ARC's approach is structured around your individual assessment, needs and goals rather than a fixed template. Rehabilitation and Reformer Pilates can therefore be progressed according to how you are doing rather than treating every person in exactly the same way.
